The combination of snow and strong wind brought a white blanket over Sofia. Meteorologists predict that the snow will stop in the afternoon and the snow will again remain only in the higher parts of the Vitosha mountain.

The roads are wet and slippery. Weak rain started falling around 6:30 AM, and it gradually turned into snow. The strong wind that is blowing since last night resulted in minor damages of public property, but with no serious after-effects.

The weather is not suitable for tourism at the moment. Around 14:00 PM the temperature at 1200 metres will be nearly -5, and at 2000 metres -10, -12В°, with strong wind. During most of the day, a moderate to strong wind will blow around the Black Sea coast, and the temperatures there will warm to 16-19В°.
