The construction of a terminal for liquid gas that will satisfy the needs of Bulgaria and many other European countries. This project was one of the topics of discussion between the preisdent of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov and the emir of Qatar sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani during the emir’s visit. The monarch visited Sofia with his wife, Moza, on the invitation of Parvanov.

The president and the emir also discussed topics of common interest – co-operation in energetics, infrastructure and construction, transport, tourism, healthcare and overall expansion of trading relationships.

Parvanov told the guest of Bulgaria’s intentions to construct a second nuclear power plant.
