The name of the Bulgarian city Pleven was heard in the Hall of Fame in Monaco. That happened during the International motorcycling federation (IMF) awards last weekend.

Along the world champions in all categories, Bulgaria got two awards – both for the city Pleven. The awards are for best organizer of the supermoto world championship – “World cup of the nations” that took place this year in Pleven, and for best race track. The track in Dolna Mitropolia was chosen as best of all circuits in 2008.

The race track near Pleven also got the prize for number one European track at the IMF congress in South Africa in October this year. The chairman of the National agency for sports and youth Vesela Lecheva and the chairman of the Organizational committee of the championship in Pleven Rumen Petkov received the awards at the ceremony in Monaco.
