Platini turns the first sod for the base of the national team

The official meeting of the president of UEFA Michel Platini with the rector of the National sports academy prof. Lachezar Dimitrov ended minutes ago.

As already known, the National sports academy (NSA) will grant two of their terrains for the construction of new sport bases, which will be financed by UEFA and FIFA. The construction of the new fields will cost nine million leva, announced the rector of NSA prof. Dimitrov.

“A little while ago, Mr. Platini turned the first sod of one of the fields that will be completed with the financial aid of UEFA and FIFA. These bases are public, national property and will not fall to private interests. Mr. Platini personally made sure of that, so he can feel secure about his investment. The project is worth nine million leva and must be completed within 12 months. With this project completed the way we want it, we’ll save a lot of money in the future – the money we now give for hotels around bases across the country. The new bases can be used by other teams and the students of NSA as well”, said prof. Dimitrov.
