Pamporovo with the quickest ski lift

The first six seated lift in Bulgaria sets off for the first time for this season in Pamporovo. The lift connects peak Snezhanka to the Stoikite village and is 2 992 metres long. It has a capacity of 2400 people per hour and will move with 6 metres per second speed, making it the fastest lift in Bulgaria.

A new entrance system for the lifts is also introduced in Pamporovo for this season. The system is made in Austria by the company “Access”, and has entrance capacity of 900 people per hour. The system will solve the problem with enormous lines that irritated tourists, assures the resort company “Pamporovo” AD.

A total of 7 kilometres new ski tracks will be open for the new season. They are in the region from the new TV tower on Snezhanka peak down to Stoikite village. That makes the summed up length of the ski tracks 38 kilometres.

This season, unlike the previous, Pamporovo will rely on artificial snow. After rehabilitation the artificial microlake is available and already being filled. Five mobile and eleven stationary snow machines are going to distribute the snow evenly this season.
