Next season: students as life guards

17 year olds from Burgas will be examined today to classify for life guards. If they cover the standard norms, they will be given the chance to work as life guards next season.

This was announced by Velichko Begov, head of the life guard office of the Bulgarian Red Cross – Burgas.

The norm is to swim fifty metres for one minute. Their examination will take place in the indoor pool of the Youth hall in the city.

A total of twenty people will try their best in the exam, most of them being students on the verge of coming of age. This is the fourth such course this year.
