Mestan: “DPS rules Bulgaria” is an untolerant myth

“DPS overate with power”, “DPS is constantly in the ruling elite” – these two ideas are considered as untolerant myths by the deputee and vice-chairman of DPS Liutvi Mestan. His statement was made during the reminiscence of the victims of the “reformation process”.

The politician cited the simple mathematics of parliamentary groups tht elected a different number of ministers.

“What is abnormal when 34 national deputees from DPS elect 3 ministers? Not only we can’t speak of overpowering the government; we can also say that DPS has the slightest governing power in the government”, said Mestan.

According to him, the basis of the “overpowering” of DPS has it’s roots in the tolerance issues. “We can’t let the state of tolerance be replaced with a state of hatred. However, there are attempts to make hatred the norm in the political speech”, noted Mestan.
