Melnik is full of tourists

Despite the crisis, the city of Melnik is constantly full of many tourists, as was evident during the holidays around May 1st and St. George’s day.

Those were the words of the mayor of the smallest city in Bulgaria Hristo Tashev. “Our wish is to offer the tourists many possibilities and opportunities for a more interesting and longer stay”, added he.

The miniature city with a population of 300 people offers about 500-600 beds to the guests, spreaded around the various hotels, houses and villas. Three hotels are currently being built, and another two are coming soon. This isn’t much at all, because we’re constantly lacking beds, said Hristo Tashev.
