Macedonian university students remain in Bulgaria

“After finishing their education in Bulgarian universities, Macedonian students rarely return to their homeland. They have an easier time finding a job Bulgaria and earn higher salaries,” states the Skopje newspaper “Dnevnik” on the topic of the perspectives of Macedonian students in Bulgaria.

In an interview, Macedonian students share that they find more opportunities to develop their careers in other European countries, especially by working for large European companies. “A large number of Macedonian students in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and other universities in Bulgaria say that their diploms open the doors to Europe and they have an easier time finding jobs, because Bulgaria has a high demand for qualified cadres.

“There is a high demand of cadres in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, electronics and informatics,” states the newspaper.
