Lukoil-Akademik once again Bulgarian champions

The team of Lukoil-Akademik won a seventh consecutive title in the Bulgarian basketball championship for men, setting a new record. They defeated the team of Euroins Cherno More with 85:76 in the fourth game of the final playoffs, thus winning 3:1 games.

The game began with an advantage for Cherno More. They took the first quarter with 20:19 points. Lukoil however picked up the pace and annihilated the hosts from Varna with a result 20:12 in the second quarter.

The third quarter was once again won by Cherno More with 23:19. The “students” dominated the last quarter of the game, ending at 27:21. In the end, they won the game and secured the Champion’s title.

Willie Dean was the best player in Lukoil, scoring 28 points. Corey Macintosh scored the most points for Cherno More – 25.
