Kubrat “the Cobra” Pulev – champion

The Bulgarian boxer in the category over 91 kilograms Kubrat Pulev is the new european champion in the over 91 kilos category after he was victorious over Denis Sergeev (Russia) in the final match.

After the last gong, the judges gave the points – 9:2 in favor of Pulev. Bulgaria now has 1 silver and 1 gold medal after the 38th european boxing championship that ended last night in Liverpool.

In the 54 kilogram finals Detelin Dalakliev (Bulgaria) lost to Luke Campbell (England) by several points and won the silver medal.

Kubrat Pulev won the bronze medal at the european championship in Plovdiv in 2006. He also participated in the Olympic games in Beijing in 2008.

For his entire career, Kubrat Pulev is a member of the CSKA team. Right now, his personal trainer is Mihail Takov. Kubrat Pulev is also a sergeant in the national army.
