Kamburov – “first among equal footballers”

The striker of Lokomotiv (Sofia) Martin Kamburov was awarded with the title “first among equal footballers” by the inquiry of the Association of Bulgarian Footballers.

The award ceremony took place today in the hotel “Sheraton”, where the scorer of “Lokomotiv” received his prize personally by the football legend Hristo Stoichkov.

This is the eighth consecutive year for the prestigious inquiry “First among equal footballers”. Players from both “A” and “B” groups are included in the inquiry. The idea of the award is to make footballers choose the best among themselves. The motto of the inquiry is, of course, “First among equals”.

Kamburov scored 17 goals for Lokomotiv just for the spring season. This is the second time he wins this competition. He was chosen to be “First among equals” in 2004.
