General Electric and Petar Dimitrov discuss the wind park in Mirkovo

The minister of economics and energetics Petar Dimitrov met George Bises, a manager of projects in the GE Energy Infrastructure, to discuss the investment intentions of the American company in the construction of a wind energy park in the municipality of Mirkovo.

General Electric has interest in the construction of wind energy parks in Bulgaria, and company representatives stated that the region of Mirkovo “is of great interest to them based on wind potential”.

Last year representatives of General Electric visited Bulgaria twice to reserarch thoroughly the region.

According to calculations, the wind park might have a capacity between 120 and 500 megawatts. This year, the research for the potentials of the wind in the region will continue.
