Gazprom is resolute to finish the gas pipeline “South stream” by 2015, said the vice-president of the Russian corporate giant Alexander Medvedev in front of journalists in Belgrad.

“The international economical crisis will not affect the investment plans of Gazprom. On the contrary, the economic value of several projects will increase”, said he.

According to him, the streaming capabilities of the pipeline “South stream” (deadline – 2015) might increase several times by the time the project is completed.

“The initially planned 30 billion cubic metres of gas might grow to 47 billion cubic metres per year”, said Medvedev and added that according to him, this can also increase the transit of gas through Serbian territory.
