Fourth year for the night of the museums

The “Night of museums” will take place for the fourth consecutive year tonight. The “Night of the museums” is an annual event, during which museums and galleries are open even after midnight.

The initiative was started in 2005 by the Ministry of culture of France. It encompasses nearly 1000 museums in over 40 European countries. This year in DelГ©mont, Switzerland, visitors can see a medieval-like trial of witches; in Umea, Sweden – a treasure hunt; in Moscow – an artistic performance.

The National technics museum in Sofia will host a meeting with Bulgarian scientists between 18:00 – 23:00. The meeting will be dedicated to space research and related subjects. After 20:00, visitors can make astronomic observations. Students from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” will put up a chemistry show.
