Brass orchestras and standard-bearers from foreign countries will join their Bulgarian colleagues for the military parade for the Day of Bravery and Holiday of the Bulgarian army – May 6th. This is a precedent in Bulgarian military history, announced the Ministry of defence. Foreign army men will join the Bulgairan ones to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bulgarian Independence, which coincides with May 6th.

They were invited by the chairman of the National initiative committee for the anniversary celebrations – the prime minister Sergei Stanishev. After the parade march of the Bulgarian military divisions, foreign orchestras will also pass through, lead by their standard-bearers.

Orchestras from Belgium, Greece, Spain, Italy, Moldova, Russia, USA, France, Ukraine, Hungary and Portugal confirmed their participation. Austria, Cyprus, Latvia and Romania will also be represented, but only by standard bearers.
