Euro Big Brother for the elections

Bulgaria asked for the presence of foreign observers for the upcoming elections, said the ambassador of Finland in Bulgaria Kauko Yamsen. He participated in a discussion on the challenges for the elections of European parliament, and was cited by Mediapool.

The press centers of the Council of ministers and Ministry of foreign relations denied being informed for such a decision.

Last month, the Citizen coalition for free and democratic elections stated that they will insist on a massive presence of European observers during the upcoming elections for European and national parliament because of the danger of machinations by the parties BSP and DPS.

Yamsen stated that inviting foreign observers is a positive sign that the government is trying to earn credibility and trust.
