Bulgartabak – privatized after the elections

Submitted on Sunday, 14 June 2009No Comment

The government delayed the privatization of “Bulgartabak”. Arguments included the “need of long and precise preparation for such actions, the effectiveness and transparency of the procedure and the social effect of the tobacco-producing Bulgarians”.

Despite the different opinions of some of the government coalition members, Kornelia Ninova – chief executive of the holding – stood behind the need to delay the privatization of “Bulgartabak”.

The chief executive of the holding confirmed her opinion that the privatization needs to be taken care of after the elections, so that the people and the corporation are not taken advantage of.

“We’ve had talks several weeks ago. I presented my arguments to whom I had to,” commented Ninova.
