Bulgarians pay 14 million leva for the EU parliament elections

The government provided 13 962 500 leva for the elections of the European parliament.

The government approved the approved the accountance reports for the expenses for the preparation and execution of the elections for Bulgarian members in the European parliament on June 7th 2009.

The biggest share of the expenses come from the remunerations for the members of the regional and sectional voting committees – 4,05 million leva. The protection of MVR will cost 3 million leva, and the organization works and technical issues of the elections will cost 2,94 million leva.

The remaining funds are for the purchase and printing of the needed election paperwork and materials, the preparation and printing of election lists, providing means to vote for Bulgarians abroad, etc.
