Bulgarian ranks sixth in the World championship for pizza makers

Radostin Kiryazov ranked sixth in the World championship for pizza makers in Italy. He earned his place not only for his quickness and mastery in the preparation of the Italian dish, but also by making it in the shape of the famous Madara Rider, one of the landmarks of Bulgarian history.

Ten years ago, Radostin travelled to Sardinia (Italy), where he learned to make pizza. He became the only Bulgarian that taught students in the National school for pizza makers in Italy.

His education in ceramics contributed to his love for sculpture – both from clay and dough. Because of that, he ranked sixth from the 380 participants in the World championship for pizza making. He prepared one of the symbols of Bulgaria as a meal for two hours and a half.

Depending on the ingredients, the statues from dough can last between 20 days and a year.
