Bulgaria wins 9 medals at a boxing tournament in Belgrade

The Bulgarian men boxing team returned from the international tournament “Beogradski pobednik”, which took place in the Serbian capital and largest city – Belgrade.

The title bearers are as follows: Alexander Alexandrov in the category up to 51 kg., Simeon Chamov in the category up to 64 kg. and Mladen Manev, who defeated the European champion of 2007 Nikola Yovanovic (Serbia) at the finals for the 75 kg.

Alexandrov defeated Norbert Kaluza (Hungary) with 10:2 points, and Chamov defeated Dmitrii Rizhikov (Russia) with 6:1 points.

Silver medals went to: This year’s winner of the “Strandzhata” cup Liuben Todorov (category up to 57 kg.), Boyan Alexandrov (the category up to 60 kg.) and Evgeni Borisov (the category up to 69 kg.)
