Bulgaria’s Parliament will host the official opening of the International conference ’50 years European Parliament – through the eyes of the media’.

The imposing forum is conducted under the honourable patronage of the chairman of the EP Hans-Gert Pöttering and the chairman of the Bulgarian parliament Georgi Pirinski.

The conference, which will begin tomorrow at 11:00a.m. in the plenary hall of the Bulgarian parliament, is organized by the Bulgarian News Agency and the Bulgarian National Television.

The forum will continue till October 15 2008. General Directors and media leaders from 12 countries in Southeast Europe, over a 100 journalists and spectators from the region will be present.

Politics, Euro-members of parliament, ambassadors of the countries members of the EU, managing directors and managers of Bulgarian media, as well as foreign correspondents are invited at the opening of the conference.

At 11:45 the participants will walk out in front of the building of the Parliament to be photographed.
