The 10th open paragliding championship “Albania Open 2009” took place in the Albanian city VlorГ« between May 6th – 9th 2009.

111 pilots from 15 countries participated in the increasingly popular championship.

Bulgaria was deservingly first once again, because of the excellent piloting skills of Metodi Metodiev, Stefan Milushev, Dimitar Ralev and Gergana Georgieva. Gergana also won the prize for the best female pilot.

The team of the Czech Republic ranked second, and the team of Slovenia – third.
