“Today Bulgarian government handed “Gasprom” a letter with our demands for compensations because of the gas crisis”, announced minister Petar Dimitrov after his meeting with the leader of “Gasprom” Alexander Medvedev.

The suggested compensations for Bulgaria were three – direct money payments, gas shipments at preferential prices and access to the gas pipe network of Russia to receive gas from third sources.

The leader of “Gasprom” said, that the letter of Bulgaria is yet to be looked over, and reminded that Russia also owes Bulgaria additional quantities of gas to refill the reserves in the gas storage in Chiren.
