A Bulgarian Culture and Information Center was opened Saturday in Moldova’s autonomous region of Gagauzia in order to serve as a connection with the historic Bulgarian minority there.

The news was reported by the Bulgarian National Television, which also cited data stating that more than 130 000 ethnic Bulgarians lived in and around the autonomous region.
