Submitted on Monday, 4 May 2009No Comment

Bulgaria and Turkey are discussing the possibilities to connect their gas transition networks, announced the Bulgarian Ministry of economics and energetics, cited by the Russian online newspaper “Energyland”.

The possibilites for export of Azerbaijani gas through Turkey to Bulgaria are also discussed. Negotiations began after the ministers of energetics of both countries signed a memorandum.

Bulgaria is conducting similar negotiations with Greece. Last week, the two countries signed a contract for the construction of the gas pipe between Haskovo and Komotini. This pipe connects the gas transition networks of the two Balkan countries.
