Submitted on Friday, 20 February 2009No Comment

Bulgaria and Romania begin a collaborative research for the construction of the transition system for natural gas in the region of the cities Ruse and Giurgiu.

The two sides will analyse the possibility to use a partial financing from the European funds for the construction of the system.

This was discussed yesterday at a meeting in Sofia between the executives of “Bulgartransgaz” EAD (offspring company of the “Bulgarian Energy Holding” EAD) and “Transgaz” (Romania).

The main topics of discussion between the gas operators were the construction and safety of gas transition systems. The two sides discussed the possibility to construct a system that connects the gas pipe systems in the regions of Ruse – Giurgiu and the region Isakcha – Negru Voda.
