BSP and DPS will not support the president’s veto

The political parties BSP and DPS will not support the president’s veto. The member of parliament of the RZS party Dimitar Abadzhiev expressed similar views, in accordance with the fact that the RZS was actually the party that proposed the disputed change of the barrier for coalitions in the parliament from 4% to 8% during parliamentary elections.

This was made clear by the statements of the representatives of these parties during the meeting of the Temporary committee for electoral laws.

“We do not find enough reasons to change our views on the matter, and thus we will continue to support the change in the law, just like we did so far”, said Maya Manolova from Coalition for Bulgaria.
