According to the UN, the forests of Bulgaria are growing

The forests of Bulgaria are getting bigger during the last few years, and the country is relatively “rich” in forests, compared to other European countries – these are the conclusions of the Industry Watch analysis, presented by BTA.

According to the UN statistics for the period 2000-2005, the total forest area in Europe has grown with 0.4 percent.

Bulgaria ranks fourth in the forest growth rankings, right after Iceland, Ireland and Spain, with a tempo of 1.4 percent per year.
