A hotel with a forest on the roof in Tarnovo

A hotel with a forest on it’s roof will be constructed in the city Veliko Tarnovo. The curious project belongs to the architect Edward Riffa, who is also the author of the project for the Olympics village in Barcelona.

The luxurious building will be constructed on the bank of the river Iantra. It will sprawl over nearly 8000 square metres and will have 50 apartments.

The building will have a unique facade, which will protect him even in a case of 8 m. tall waves from the river. The place where the hotel will be built is usually flooded once per year.

Riffa made the project with his colleague Alexander Dow. Despite the stagnation of the construction business, the English architects claim that they have a confirmed investor.
