A Bulgarian won First prize for young opera singer in an International competition

The press center of the Ministry of culture announced that the Bulgarian opera singer Ivo Yordanov won First prize at the 63rd edition of the International competition for young opera singers “European community – 2009”, organized by Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “Adriano Belli” in the city Spoleto in Italy.

Ivo Yordanov is 28 years old. He won the hard contest with a significant advantage ahead of his competition.

The young Bulgarian soprano Doroteya Doroteeva is among the awarded candidates, as well.

The winners of the competition are six. All of them receive an award “Livia Dionisi” worth 30 000 euro, which will be shared among them.
