2000 people attend the parade for May 24th

At least two thousand people attended the parade for May 24th, the Day of Education and Bulgarian Culture.

The parade was opened by the minister of education Daniel Valchev and the vice-mayor of education of the municipality of Sofia Iordanka Fandakova.

The parade passed through the major boulevard “Vitosha”. It was joined by students from all over the country, along with student orchestras and majorettes.

The president of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov and the minister of culture Stefan Danailov joined the parade in front of the building of the Presidency.
An icon of the saint brothers Kiril and Metodii was at the forefront of the parade.
