180 km. ecopath in the Rodopi mountains

A two-week hike is enough to get through the 180 km. ecopath in the Rodopi mountain, beggining in the village Hvoina and reaching the border with Greece, informs the Regional tourist association “Rodopi”.

According to the executive director of the association Georgi Pamporov, this is the longest ecopath in Bulgaria. The new tourist rout is financed by a FAR project.

The ecopath from the village Hvoina to the Elije passage is just a part of the ecopath. It continues on Greek soil, all the way to the city Stavroupoli.
