150 000 Czech tourists visited Bulgaria

According to still incomplete data, Bulgaria was visited by about 130 000 – 150 000 Czech tourists. This was announced by the ambassador of the Czech republic in Bulgaria Martin Klepetko. He was in the coastal city for the opening of the Year of Czech culture in Varna last Sunday.

The diplomat pointed out, that the potential for the increase of tourists from the Czech republic isn’t much, but with good advertising, they can increase with about 50 000 tourists.

According to him, Czech tourists favored Croatia, because it is closer to their country and can be reached by car. He added, that the tourism services of Bulgaria are still in development. He says that this sphere needs modernization to reach the level of servicing in countries like Greece or Italy.
