100 million leva less in the healthcare fund

The financial crisis and the increase of the healthcare taxes will affect negatively the income of the healthcare fund. Just for the first two months of the year, the National healthcare fund will receive 100 million leva less than the predicted income.

The healthcare fund announced that for January and February, the income from taxes of working people are nearly 100 million leva per month. The government will also pay 200 million leva for the two months for children, pensioners, university students and soldiers. Thus, the total income will be 300 million leva.

According to the law for the budget of the healthcare fund, the expected income per month is 200 million leva, which means a decrease of income of 25%. The National healthcare fund isn’t worried of the decreased income yet. They explained that January and February are traditionally weaker months.
